Adam Ondra on Instagram: “The harder you climb, the more furious you are when conditions feel sticky 💪 But to be honest? If the weather conditions do not feel prime, I don’t walk out the door. My body is like a perfect sensor for climbing conditions 😎 Over the years, I have learned to know my physical reactions to the conditions. If everything is prime, I just become so fresh, energetic, and powerful. It is like knowing: “Yes, I have been given a chance to climb in perfect conditions. Let’s take advantage. Oh my god, this is going to be so much fun!” Why the hell is it that important? 🙏Well, the harder you climb, the poorer holds you are grabbing onto 😅 When the conditions are bad, the grips are uncomfortable and climbing feels like a huge fight. But what actually are the good conditions? What conditions do I like best? 🤔 Why I sometimes take my shirt off and many other thoughts and facts you can find out in my Photo Book. It is and old aid line done by Silvo Karo&crew in Anica Kuk in Paklenica, recently finally free climbed by Luka Kranjc. Pitches are following: two 6c’s or two 6a’s, L3 8a+, L4 8c, L5 8b+, L6 8a+, L7 7a, L8 7b+, L9 4.The route is massive, steep and absolutely enjoyable to climb.Very happy to have done this beast onsight yesterday.All of it was filmed by @bernardo_gimenez, #JanSimanek, @petrjanjuracka for Czech National TV @ceskatelevize.Thank you so much Marko and #autokampmarko for all the help and belay!@blackdiamond @lasportivagram @mytendon @montura_official”

Some of them are new, some of them are old, but some of the most prominent lines have stayed neglected for a very long time. Red Point Wall is a perfect example ☝️ @franzmorandi , the local crusher, finally bolted the amazing face to the left side of the sector a few years ago. I had the honour to make the first ascent! 😎Regarding the grade, I am not really sure as I could not do it on my first day as I was not using the best beta. The second day Francesco himself found a slightly better beta, and I could climb it next try. Needed 7 tries to make it through the first boulderproblem on pitch 14, a boulderproblem that i never really found very hard before, but somehow felt really hard today. I slipped on my first try, then on my second try, then just freaked out and felt so insecure with my feet trying to climb as carefully as possible but kept slipping nevertheless. Then, on my 7th try, I did the boulderproblem, and fell from the last move.Hard to find some optimism, but I will try it again. Tomorrow and hopefully with better mindset.Thanks everyone for encouragement!
